All ACC’s activities are governed by the following overarching values: objective pursuing of truth, sincere critique of opinions, honesty in checking one’s own position as well as the others’, collective efforts that seek peace making and development, unshakable faith in justice and freedom.
The ACC seeks, through its various activities, to strengthen and reinforce workable relationships among politicians, community leaders, policy makers, intellectuals and experts.
The ACC pays special attention to the African continent, but it intentionally keeps an eye on issues and problems that transcend geographical and political boundaries. In terms of research preferences, it gives priority to comparative studies, distinctive case studies, and innovative methods of research.
Finally, the ACC does not carry out its programs and activities in line with any sectarian or partisan loyalties, nor does it advocate a particular ideology.
